General Terms and Conditions of Business and Use for Users

1. Provider and scope of application

These General Terms of Use, hereinafter referred to as the "User Terms", govern the use of the The Coach Grid platform by persons who retrieve information about coaches, compare coaches, use search and filter functions or send a contact request, hereinafter referred to as the "User". The term "User" covers both persons who use the platform merely for information or comparison purposes and those who subsequently conclude a contract with a coach. The provider of the platform is The Coach Grid GmbH, with registered office at 6330 Cham, Sinserstrasse 67, entered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zug under the company identification number CHE-380.535.843, reachable at info@thecoachgrid.com. The User Terms apply to all platform services provided via the website, a mobile view, a future app or other digital points of access. Separate General Terms and Conditions of Business and Use for Coaches apply to coaches who offer their services via the platform. These User Terms govern exclusively the relationship between The Coach Grid and the User. By using the platform or, at the latest, by sending a contact request, the User confirms that they have read and accepted these User Terms.

2. Purpose and scope of services of the platform

The Coach Grid provides a digital platform through which Users can search for coaches, view coach profiles, compare offers and contact selected coaches. The platform may offer search and filter options by sport, training goal, location, price, language, form of coaching, specialisation, qualification, availability and further criteria. The Coach Grid may display or suggest certain coaches to the User on the basis of the information provided by the User. Such suggestions do not constitute a personal recommendation, professional advice or any guarantee that the suggested coach is suitable for the User. The Coach Grid reserves the right to further develop, adapt or restrict the structure, scope and functions of the platform at any time.

3. Role of The Coach Grid

The Coach Grid merely brokers the contact between User and coach. The Coach Grid is not the provider of the coaching, training, nutrition, health or consulting services described in the coach profiles. A contract for coaching services is concluded exclusively between the User and the coach. The Coach Grid becomes neither a party to the contract nor a representative of either party. The Coach Grid assumes no responsibility for price negotiations, contractual terms, appointment arrangements, payments, cancellations, refunds, performance of services or disputes between User and coach.

4. Free use and possible additional services

Searching, comparing and making contact may be offered to Users free of charge. The Coach Grid may introduce additional chargeable services in the future. Before any chargeable order, the price, scope of services, contract duration and payment terms are clearly displayed. Insofar as the User acts as a consumer within the meaning of the applicable law, any statutory right of withdrawal will be communicated to them within the respective offer description when chargeable services are introduced.

All prices are stated in the specified currency and, where applicable, including or plus value added tax.

5. Requirements for use

Users must be at least eighteen years of age and have legal capacity in order to conclude a contract with a coach on their own. Minors may use the platform only with the consent and under the responsibility of their legal representative. Contracts for coaching services for minors are to be settled directly with the respective coach and the legal representative. The User is obliged to provide truthful and up-to-date information when making contact requests.

6. Coach profiles and verification

The Coach Grid reviews coaches according to internal criteria before activating them. In doing so, identity, education, certificates, professional experience, website, social media presence, references and further information may be checked. A verification badge means that The Coach Grid has checked certain information as part of its own review process. It does not constitute official authorisation, a medical quality assessment or a guarantee of particular results. The Coach Grid cannot rule out that information may later become outdated or incomplete or prove to be incorrect. Users should verify essential qualifications and the suitability of the coach themselves before concluding a contract and, if necessary, request original evidence.

7. Search results and recommendations

The order of the coach profiles is determined on the basis of technical, content-related and, where applicable, commercial criteria. These may include filter match, location, profile completeness, availability, currency of the information, user interactions and paid promotion. A high placement does not necessarily mean that the coach in question is objectively better or more suitable for every User. Paid or sponsored placements may be marked accordingly.

8. Contact form and forwarding of data

The User can send a request to a selected coach via a form. In particular, name, e-mail address, telephone number, preferred means of contact, sport, training goal, budget, location, availability and further information may be collected. By sending the request, the User agrees that the information they have entered will be forwarded to the selected coach. The User is responsible for providing only information that is necessary for the request. Particularly sensitive or medical information should only be provided if this is required for the coach search and the User agrees to its disclosure. After sending, the User may receive an automatic confirmation. This merely confirms the technical transmission and not that the coach has read, accepted or answered the request.

9. Contact by the coach

The selected coach may contact the User via the preferred means of communication indicated. This may take place by e-mail, telephone, SMS or WhatsApp. The Coach Grid does not guarantee that the coach will reply or make contact within a particular period. The User may inform the coach at any time that they do not wish to be contacted further. Inadmissible, aggressive or repeated attempts to make contact may be reported to The Coach Grid.

10. Contract with the coach

Before the User books a coaching service, they must carefully review the coach's terms. These include in particular price, scope of services, duration, termination, cancellation, method of payment, rescheduling of appointments and any prerequisites. The User decides themselves whether to conclude a contract with a coach. The Coach Grid is not obliged to review or negotiate the coach's contractual terms. The Coach Grid gives no guarantee that the coach's terms are complete, appropriate or advantageous for the User.

11. Prices and payments to coaches

The prices stated in coach profiles may represent guide prices, price ranges or example prices. The final price is agreed directly between User and coach. Payments for coaching services are made as a rule directly to the coach, unless a payment function is expressly offered by The Coach Grid. The Coach Grid is not liable for payment disputes, refunds, services not rendered or payment defaults between User and coach.

12. Health responsibility

Sporting activities, training programmes, dietary changes and competition preparation may entail physical and health risks. The User is themselves responsible for clarifying their health suitability for a training or nutrition programme. In the case of complaints, injuries, chronic illnesses, pregnancy, recent childbirth, cardiovascular problems, diabetes, eating disorders or other health limitations, a suitable medical professional should be consulted before starting a programme. The Coach Grid provides no medical advice and does not replace any medical examination, diagnosis or treatment. The User must truthfully inform the coach of relevant health information insofar as this is necessary for safe supervision. In the event of acute pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, circulatory problems or other unusual symptoms, training should be discontinued immediately and medical help should be sought.

13. Nutrition and dietary supplements

Information or offers in the field of nutrition do not as a rule replace medical or therapeutic nutritional advice. Users with allergies, intolerances, metabolic disorders, eating disorders, pregnancy or other special circumstances must consult suitable specialists before changing their diet. The Coach Grid assumes no responsibility for nutrition plans, supplement recommendations, diets or other recommendations of a coach.

14. No guarantee of success

Sporting, health-related and physical results depend on numerous individual factors. These include the starting situation, genetics, training frequency, nutrition, recovery, health and personal implementation. The Coach Grid guarantees no weight loss, no muscle building, no performance improvement, no competition qualification, no health improvement and no other particular result.

Statements and testimonials in coach profiles likewise do not constitute any guarantee that other Users will achieve the same results.

15. Permitted use of the platform

The User may use the platform exclusively for lawful purposes. It is prohibited to send false contact requests, to harass coaches, to carry out automated queries, to collect data without permission, to circumvent security mechanisms, to distribute malware or to impair the platform in any other way. Coach data may not be copied for unsolicited advertising, databases, competitive analyses or commercial re-use unless consent has been given.

16. Reviews and user content

Insofar as The Coach Grid offers a review function, Users may only submit reviews that are honest, factual and based on actual experience. Fabricated reviews, insults, threats, discriminatory statements, unlawful content and the publication of confidential or particularly sensitive data of third parties are not permitted. The Coach Grid may review, withhold or remove reviews where there are indications of misuse, infringements of rights or manipulation.

17. Reporting problematic coaches or content

Users may report to The Coach Grid false profile information, inappropriate behaviour, recommendations that endanger health, data protection breaches or other problems. The Coach Grid may examine a report and ask the coach concerned for a statement. The Coach Grid is entitled to block or remove profiles temporarily. The Coach Grid is not obliged to inform the User of all details of an internal examination or of any measure taken.

18. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy of The Coach Grid, which can be viewed on the website. Contact requests are as a rule forwarded to the selected coach and stored in accordance with the privacy policy. The Coach Grid may as a rule delete request data after one month, unless a statutory obligation, a security interest or an ongoing investigation requires longer retention. The coach processes the data transmitted to them under their own responsibility. For deletion by the coach, the User may contact the coach directly.

19. Availability and technical disruptions

The Coach Grid endeavours to ensure secure and reliable operation, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance work, technical disruptions, cyber attacks, failures of hosting, telecommunications, payment or other third-party providers may temporarily restrict use. The Coach Grid gives no guarantee that a request will be technically delivered successfully. If the User receives no confirmation or response, they may where appropriate contact the coach via publicly stated contact details.

20. Liability of The Coach Grid

The Coach Grid is liable to the extent mandatorily required by law for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence, indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of data, lost benefits and damage arising from contracts between User and coach is excluded. In particular, The Coach Grid is not liable for the professional quality, safety, lawfulness, availability or effectiveness of coaching services. The Coach Grid is not liable for injuries, health damage, financial losses or other disadvantages resulting from acts, omissions or recommendations of a coach. The Coach Grid tolerates no discrimination on the platform on grounds of gender, origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age or other personal characteristics. Corresponding incidents may be reported via the reporting function pursuant to section 17. However, The Coach Grid is not liable for the personal conduct, the communication or the statements of a coach towards a User, since the coach does not act as an employee, representative or vicarious agent of The Coach Grid.

21. External links and services

The platform may contain links to websites, social networks or offers of coaches and third parties. The Coach Grid has no complete influence over their content, availability, security or data protection practices and assumes no responsibility for them.

22. Blocking of users

The Coach Grid may restrict or block a User's access if the User misuses the platform, makes false requests, harasses coaches, impairs security mechanisms or violates these User Terms.

23. Changes to the platform and to the User Terms

The Coach Grid may change the platform and these User Terms on account of legal, technical or operational developments. The version currently applicable is published on the platform. For chargeable contracts already concluded, substantial disadvantageous changes apply only within the scope permitted by law.

24. Communication

Notifications from The Coach Grid may be made electronically to the e-mail address provided by the User or via notices on the platform. The User is responsible for providing correct contact details and for checking their spam folder.

25. Final provisions

Should a provision of these User Terms be wholly or partly invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain effective. These User Terms are drawn up in the German language. In the case of translations into other languages, the German version shall prevail in case of doubt. Swiss law applies, to the exclusion of conflict-of-law rules. For disputes, the registered office of The Coach Grid GmbH in Cham (ZG) shall be the place of jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved. Version of these User Terms: 10 July 2026.
